what i'm thankful for

- Tina and I had our 1st wedding anniversary a couple weeks ago. i'm a very lucky man.
- My family's health. Especially, my parents and Tina's parents. Tina's step-dad had a scare this year when they discovered he had cancer of the esophagus. He made it thru chemo / surgery and is doing just fine now.
- We're able to scrape thru these difficult economic times. Tina's job is secure and i'm still able to make a measly profit playing a stoopid game.
- Tina will have her PhD in a couple short years
- My sponsors, affliate relationships and PokerWorks for their continued support
- All my readers and Bodonkey participants as well as Nadia and Bodog for hosting the Bodonkey series.
- And especially the love and support of Tina, my family and friends
Happy Thanksgiving all!

Two Turkeys One Cup
After you've had enough of demon children, in-laws, drunken uncles and bad potato salad, sit down and multi-table Pauly's Turkey Day tournament alongside the Bodonkey this Thursday.

PokahDave snuffs out Rizen’s ghost for T$109 and Salex77 wins Tue
Unfortunately, Rizen had a family emergency come up at the last minute and couldn’t play the Bodonkey.
This didn’t prevent the buzzards from buzzing. The living pokah bloggah legacy took the Gigli cuz I guess he has no mojo without a bounty on him even tho he was seated at Rizen’s table from the get go. Wawfuls spewed like no tomorrow to the grateful recipients at his table.
thanksgiving Wawfuls style babeee
Me? I ended up getting shortstacked after the 1st break losing a flip then built my stack back up winning consecutive flips only to lose the bulk of my stack in a blind vs. blind battle against the self-proclaimed poker expert. Apparently, Q7s (the "ghey tourist") is the hand you want to defend your blind with and get all your chips in the middle when covered. My AQo went down in flames and I wasn’t able to recover.
Cmitch made an appearance and was also seated at Rizen’s table. Somehow he got donkeypunched just before Rizen went bustooooo. gg Cmitch!
Such is the standard for bloggah games.
As mentioned earlier, PokahDave scooped Rizen's zombie bounty.
Here are your final payouts:
A BIG thanks to BuddyDank radio and the rest of the crew for covering this series. They're doing a kick ass job (or getting shit-faced on air) as expected.
Rizen will be back to play another date with bounty on melon at least one more time, hopefully many more times. Cuz we all luv melons with T$109 esp a guy whose made multiple WSOP Final Tables and scooped the ‘Stars Sunday Million Guarantee. BTW, Rizen is posting pxfactor videos from his Sunday Million win on his blog for a limited time free of charge. Check it out!
Hope all is well with Rizen and his family.
It will be bizness at usual on Thanksgiving Day with the Bodonkey running at 9:05pm ET. This might be the smallest field in the series. It will be a battle of the degens with a shot at moving up a bunch of spots on the Bodonkey Series II Leaderboard.

From breakeven poker bloggah legacy to bubble boy
Wawfuls got off to a good start putting the hurt to Columbo early then getting the best of the rest of his table before ending up at the final table. Unfortunately, he ran outta steam and was unable to accomplish what has only been done once before, claim his own bounty. But still a valiant effort when you got guys coming at you with guns a blazing then showing down the mightee 4-9s.
Wawfuls lost a big pot prior to his final hand. He looked down at a baby pair, pocket 4’s and shipped his remaining stack into the middle. Three of the six remaining players called and Wawfuls 4-4 could not out run PokahDave’s Big Slick. PokahDave claimed the T$109 bounty placed on Wawful’s who finished 6th with 5 money spots being paid. Dave went on to finish 2nd.
MiamiDon walked away the winner last night after putting on a clinic when they got down to 4 players and is one of the select few to win back2back blogger tournaments after winning the previous night’s mOOkie. VGG Don!
Here were the final payouts for last night’s Bodonkey:
Still no Bodonkey ITM cash (or points finish) for the self proclaimed “poker expert” with 8 tournaments in the books. Can it really be blamed on bad luck after 8 whiffs?
Next Tuesday, November 25th our friend “Rizen” will be back with a T$109 bounty and is offering an autographed copy of his book “Winning Poker Tournaments – One Hand at a Time” to whoever claims the last of his chips.

Fishing for T$
34 fishee's suited up for Tuesday's Bodonkey II. There was a bit of confusion about Wawfuls bounty which is scheduled for Thursday. But, that didn't prevent players from donkey punching him anyway. Wawfuls went on rail rant after getting his 88 cracked by A8 all-in pf. It wasn't even sOoted.
It's def more fun to be the donkeypuncher than the donkeypunchee. wasn't me tho.
I managed to work my way into the final table with a middle stack and eventually got 3-handed with each of us taking the chip lead at some point. I finally succumbed to the mighteee 10-2sOoted and finished 3rd.
Here are your final payouts for Tuesday:
Skidoo took down his 2nd Bodonkey of series II.
A self-proclaimed poker expert hasn't even cashed in this series after playing every event. Go figure.
Register for this Thursday's Bodonkament and scoop T$109 if you can bust Wawfuls.

Tony Soprano is obv sour cuz his show is dead
except for re-runs
one thing our friend Chad luvs to say is "it's a 10 dollar tourney" (i.e. fuck it). real poker strategy obv cannot be found in a low buy-in tourney. it's a shovefest with little skill involved.
well our buddy Chad got a little upset when i mis-reported a hand.
the hand he took Evy out on was a semi-bluff check/raise. this is one of Chad's favorite moves. call a raise OOP with a drawing hand, flop a draw and check raise enough to get your opponent to fold or shove (put it in your notes kids). i've seen him do it time and time again.
while i thought he got it aipf with his mighteee A2s, what he did in fact is what i mentioned. he called a raise OOP with a drawing hand like Ac2c, flopped bottom pair with a nut flush draw and check/raised enough for Evy to either shove or fold.
it's a genius move when you flop a monster, get called and hit. in this case he was actually ahead after the flop with his pair of ducks and the nut draw (quack, quack).
i had to post this hand as an addendum because i try to be honest with my readers. it was an honest mistake on my part after mis-reading the hand initially.
In Chad's mind he got his money in good with bottom pair/nut flush draw even after Evy showed strength pre/post flop. Although, he had no idea of Evy's holdings praying the flush hit (or trips or Ace) . It's a solid play post-flop IMO on his part. I mean what else are you hoping for when you call a raise OOP with Ace sOoted?
Chad read her soul. She had no pair, just overs and a T$109 bounty.
my apologies to Chad for initially mis-reporting this hand.

"Evybabee" gets all her money in good twice and still goes broke
welcome to the poker hell that is bloggahments Evy.
Evy flopped a set of 10's against SnappyLC's KK on a J-T-x board and it all went in. A King hits the river and Evy was crippled. She managed to double up in a coin flip later with pocket 8s then later shoved into TonySoprano's (aka Cracknaces aka Chad aka i deleted my blog again this wk) pf raise with AhKh. Chad snap called with the mightee Ac2c and Evy's big slick was flushed when a bunch of clubs hit the board.
vgg Evy
I was lucky enough to be seated with Evy and only played a couple of small pots with her but I was unlucky enough to get my AA cracked by Chad's pocket 8's. That left me with crumbs and I went out shortly after.
Here were the final payouts for Thursday's Bodonkey:

November Nine FAIL

While i was happy to finally see the hole cards on some of the hands that played out during Sunday's Final Table, IMO the delay was a good idea but the end results were disappointing.
Although these final nine will probably be remembered more than any other previous nine, the amount of hype leading up to the final table was just not what I expected. I could have missed some pimpage but, ESPN only seemed to be pimping the WSOP on their own network and i don't remember seeing a ton of pimpage even during MNF. The marketing blitz i expected just never arrived. Other than the delay, the only thing they did differently from recent years was produce a preview show.
They seemed to rely on outside sources to pimp the November 9 instead of putting together a real marketing campaign. How come i didn't see any of these guys on Letterman or Leno prior to the final table? Did it miss it somehow?
That said, i'm sure these nine still got more endorsement money collectively than any previous nine making it to the WSOP Main Event final table.
The pay-per-view was sorely missed. I watched it the previous two years and even without hole card cams, it gives you a real sense of who is playing well and a feel for the momentum swings. Last year, Jerry Yang's rollercoaster ride was exciting to watch as each hand played out. I was lucky enough to stumble across BluffMag's/BluffTV which did a live audio stream during this year's final table. Just relying on EPSN's final 2-hr polished version would've been a HUGE disappointment for me.
This year, Dennis Phillips lost over 20m chips before regrouping and finishing 3rd. The 2-hour show doesn't really do Dennis's comeback justice IMO. Yeah he spewed early on but, to comeback from that was pretty amazing even if it did take a huge suckout at one point (that's poker!).
ESPN definitely needs to keep the show down to 2-hours IMO so they don't lose the average nOOb viewer. but, they should also do the PPV. I don't think it will take away from the 2-hr slimmed down version built for the general public.
This year was an experiment, let's hope they all learned from it.
Worst poker player takes it down
I completely whiffed in the Bodonkey and November Nine Special Tuesday night but surely the sad part of last night's story was the worst poker player took down Tuesday's edition of the Bodonkey.
Here were the payouts:
Wawfuls jumped out to a big lead early and continued sucking on the poker god's teet when they got 3-handed to take it down.
gg the rest of us
Check the online poker blogger leaderboard for the Bodog Series II for updates. This Thursday 11/13 we have a T$109 bounty on Evelyn Ng's pretty little head.

Special "November 9" tournament next Tue 11/11 at 9:09 ET
You know you’ve got a good tournament structure when two guys sit-out and almost fold their way into the final table.
..and it wasn’t HarringtonBot Blinders.
Riggstad and Columbo almost folded into the final table and APOSEC72 just missed back2back Bodonkey wins this Thursday. “BreakEven” Wawfuls also made a special appearance.
Riggsy and Columbo were registered to play but, never did and bubbled the final table 10th/11th respectively. Apparently, Riggs ghost solidly outplayed Columbo’s ghost and both outlasted several respected blonkeys.
APOSEC built a HUGE chip lead early taking out the first two players of the night and cruised into the final table but couldn’t seal the deal finishing 2nd almost winning back2back Bodonkeys. Yestbay took 3rd.
Here were the final payouts:
Next Tuesday we do it all again and in addition to our regular tournament at 9:05pm ET, our friends at Bodog setup a “November 9 Special” at 9:09 ET Tue 11/11.

3rd Tournament over and done with
...and my nads are sore.
36 bloggah fishees suited up for Tuesday’s Bodonkey Blogger Series II donking it up big time for the $360 prize pool and added bonuses courtesy of our friends at Bodog.
I spewed a bunch of chips early missing draws and found myself taking a coin flip with 3-3 which held up against KQs. A few orbits later, I woke up with JJ in the SB and shoved into an EP limper who tried the old stealth mode limp with AA (circa 2006). A bunch of diamonds hit the board and I won with a four flush to dubble through again.
Don’t ever limp with AA in a bloggah game, it’s not gonna end pretty. :)
I had about $2700 chips after the 1st break and was able to work my stack up to over $7000 by the second break. Then I lost races with AQo vs JTs and AA vs KJo all in pf both times. I was happy to get that outta the way before the final table (at least I thought).
Once the final table formed I was one of the shorter stacks and stole a few times to at least have a little folding equity against some of the bigger stacks. We lost a few players pretty quickly and when we got 6-handed, I woke up with KK in the CO and made a 3x raise after it folded to me. The BB reraised me and I shoved, he snap called with 33 and I was the bubble boy finishing 6th when a stoopid 3 hit the river.
Here are the final payouts for Tuesday’s Bodonkey:
Congrats to APOSEC72 for taking it down. He and CarnePicante got locked up almost even in chips for a while until the poker gods laid down a nice cooler for CarnePicante to ship all his chips in the middle with pf (TT vs QQ). Somehow QQ miraculously held one time.
Go to BodogBloggerTournament.com for leaderboard updates.
Don’t forget to register early for Thursday’s Bodonkey. We’re 2nd only to the mOOk in donktacular junk kickings.
Don’t miss out!

Trusted Rakeback Affiliates
It doesn't take much reading on the 2plus2 forums before you'll run into a player whose rakeback affiliate took off with the bag. One of my readers runs one of the oldest poker strategy sites around and has been faithfully paying his forum members' rakeback for over 4 and a half years.
In fact, you could argue that Poker Strategy kicked off the rakeback craze when they were the first affiliate to offer a public rakeback deal in April/May 2004. Their first deal was for Absolute Poker Rakeback, and it was called a "rake rebate" back then.
As rakeback has become the most sought after comp for high volume online poker players, their rakeback list has expanded to include other sites. One of the newest and hottest deals is Cake Poker Rakeback. 33% rakeback on the lovely "dealt" rake calculation method + some of the fishiest no limit holdem tables = a very nice option to consider.
Private deals and high volume player deals are available if you live and breath poker.
No sense hooking up with XYZrakebakers for a huge promised percentage, if they're nowhere to be found 6 months later. Choosing a trusted rakeback site is very important.
