Nadia directed me to my nemesis' blog, Taddy who I lost four straight races to in this week's Bodonkey. Since he's in japan, it's entirely in japanese. you can use the google translator to view it. google does an ok job. but, he probably uses some poker slang it's unable to translate well. maybe there are better ones out there.
i tried to leave a comment. but, i'm prompted for a passcode in japanese characters......LOL
i think it's kinda cool we have players from Japan in the Bodonkey. "GoldenHammer" is also from Japan.
i have a vg read on these kamakazee's too. any Ace, any pair and any two broadway cards.....
they're AWWW - IIINNN !

my nemesis
can a brotha win a race?
in this week's Bodonkey, i found a way to lose four (4) straight races to the player on my right who ended up finishing 2nd this week. this is the first time i've ever had that happen. i mean what are the friggin odds you math nerds.
1st race: A-Qo vs 2-2
2nd race: 5-5 vs A-x
3rd race: A-Jo vs A-Ko
4th race: A-Jo vs K-Qo
hopefully, i'm still in the top ten after this week. wudda friggin joke. all u donks who think this series is rigged can suck it.
congrats to RaisyDaisy for takin it down and umm Taddy, i hope you never win another race.

with the 27th pick, San Diego takes...
Antoine Cason, DB from Arizona.
San Diego led the NFL in interceptions in '07 after Antonio Cromartie came on as a starter halfway thru the season and had a HUGE year for the Chargers.
Our defensive secondary has another big playmaker to complement Cromartie.

T$270 for free-fiddy-free
I ran across a PokerNews article pimping their WSOP Freeroll and gave it a try tonight.
After about 3.5 hrs it came down to this. He raised 3.5x from the button, i looked down at the mightee "Tourist" and jammed. He called and ......
BOOOOOOOOM ! ! !
I don't play many freerolls but, decided i'd give this one a go. the top five finishers get a seat into a freeroll on May 11th for a 12k WSOP Main Event Package.
i finished 1st in this semi-final freeroll and got this.

Joes Stack the Pros and collect $100
We had two Bodog Pros in a field of 53 with no idea what was in store for them. The Pros never really stood a chance. Fifty-one (51) sOOted, any Ace / any paint, i'll take a super-sized sOOted connector Bodonkeys lined up to take their shot at the $100 bounties generously donated to this week's tournament prize pool by Bodog.
Mondogarage drew first blood knocking out Jean-Robert Bellande on a T-2-7 flop. Bellande held 7-8s and Mondo’s J-J was ok one time for $100 cash moneh.
Blinders was lucky enough to be sitting at Bellande’s left (can you ask for a better opportunity?) and got involved in some small pots with Bellande but, couldn’t pull the monkey push trigger with ATC to try and take him out.
David Williams was next to hit the rail when Vinnay’s mightee K-6o smoosh flattened David’s A-4o making Vinnay $100 happier.
This week’s Bodonkey tournament paid out a whopping 14 spots with the top nine getting cash and 10-14 getting a T$11 rebate. The top five finishers also received the standard T$109 because that’s how we do it over at the Bodonkey.
For the second week in a row I made the final table but, couldn’t finish in the top 5. I took a big hit at the final table when I woke up with 4-4 in the BB and Emptyman jammed his hammer into me. Everyone folded around, I insta-called and shipped half my stack over when a 7 hit the flop. Later my luck runs even better when I open push with A-2o from UTG and the table turbo folds around to Donkette who insta-calls from the BB with Q-Q . She still had to sweat a 4-flush draw and Ace after the turn so at least that was worth some added comedy. I finished 8th for $23 and a handful of TOC Leaderboard points.
Tina sat down tonight and did very well putting the hurt to everyone’s favorite sOOted donkey doubling up early. She also knocked out NewinNov who’s been crushing the Bodog Blogger series. Tina finished 14th for T$11.
Donkette took down this week’s Bodonkey finishing 1st for $159 cash +$109. Vinnay finished 2nd for $106 cash + T$109 (+$100 for D. Williams bounty) and BuddyDank picked up AA/KK enough times to take 3rd for $63 cash + T$109.
Thanks to everyone who registered to play this week and BIG thanks to Bellande and David for taking time out of their busy schedules to donk it up with us.

Deal or No Deal ??
Should the BBT3/Tournament of Champions be renamed?
Suggestions welcome. (mostly for laughs at Hoy's expense)
Did Hoy make a good deal? Did ScottyMac make a good deal? Of course they did. I don't dispute that.
But in the spirit of this whole thing, why make a deal to play in the Tournament of Champions? Because you can if you get HU against another player who either already has their seat or doesn't care about the TOC??
It's an unfair advantage.
The rules don't prevent players from doing this. So, why not? Who offered who the deal 1st and how much was paid doesn't really matter.
Why?
Because it's the friggin "Tournament of Champions" people, that's why. It's not the "Tournament of Champions and Dealmakers".
Nothing personal, I like Scotty and Hoy. They both make solid contributions to our ghey little poker blogging community and I genuinely wanted to see both of them in the TOC. But, not by making deals.
Imagine how LJ must feel after getting so close so many times or anyone else who finished 2nd for that matter. They just weren't fortunate enough i guess.
Just my opinion. that is all.

11 Bodonkey Tournaments in the books
42 fishees donked their way thru this week's field leaving one man standing atop donkey mountain.
emptyman
Emptyman finished 1st for $168 + T$109. Sed The Icon took 2nd for $100 +T$109 and GoldenKamakaze finished in 3rd for $67 + T$109.
I squeeked thru the points bubble and into the final table finishing 9th for much needed tournament leaderboard points putting me back into the top 10.
This week's edition of the "skillz" series was stud hi-lo.
yawn
so for those of you who like sitting in front of the fireplace with your warm milk and afghan, this was the week for you to flex your muscles for the ladies back at the convalescent home.
Monte Hall worked a deal taking 1st and his seat into the BBT3 TOC. Congrats!

How does a cash game nit final table Bodog's 100k ??
Patience!
I rode through the 1st two breaks of this Sunday's 100k Guarantee (29k overlay!) with an above average stack. Almost 3 hrs in, i look down at AKo. Some shorty raises 3x from EP (blinds at 150/300). It folds to me and I reraise pot which makes it a push or fold decision for him. The action folds around to him and he jams with AJo.

One of the 100NL cash game regulars and arguably the king of cash game nits (jazzyfresh45) rode a below avg stack all the way thru the bubble stalling his way thru each of the payout levels. he got lucky a few times (99 > JJ, QJ > JJ, etc) and weenied his way into the final table. he rarely had an above avg stack until they got 4-handed and won a HUGE pot with AA vs TT. a couple hands later he decided to race with AQ vs 88, lost and ended up going out 4th for $6900.
Pretty incredible finish and demonstration of patience throughout, well done jazzy!

How a degenerate gambooler turns $50 into $400
Bodog Casino
I got an email offer from Bodog they'd give me a $20 bonus in Casino money if i bought $50 in Casino Chips. So, i did exactly that and went straight to the craps table.
My timing was fuggin on cuz i bought in for the full $70, went to "work" and walked away with $286 after about an hour playing $5 craps. You can play for as little as $1.
I go to the cashier with rack full of chips in hand to cash in my "Bodog Casino chips".
no bueno. i go back and read the offer's "fine print"."This offer is subject to a 15X playthrough requirement in the Casino before any funds can be withdrawn. Play in Baccarat, Sic Bo, Craps, and Roulette do not count towards meeting playthrough requirements. "
So friggin ghey. So, I charge over to the BlackJack tables and buy-in for the full $286. I was getting killed early on when my asian dealer was hitting 20/21 like mad. But, i kept my cool and fought back after being down almost a hundy and crush that bitch for +$100.
I head straight to the cage and cash in my $400 Bodog Casino chips for real moneeh.
That's how this pimp rolls.

How to get paid after flopping a set on a uni-suit board
Find a donkey that can't fold an overpair.
Many Bodog cash game players have a very difficult time dumping an overpair even on a uni-suit board not holding any of that suit.
Full ring cash game.

In other bloggah news, the worst poker player turned the poker world upside down and found his way into the TOC. This is gonna light a fire under alot of blonkeys.

Nit on Nit pokah
two of the biggest nits in bloggah pokah went HU for this week's Bodonkey title and the king of all nits won.
this aint no mOOkie. tight is right in Bodonkeytown.
Blinders took down the whole damn thing for $176 cash + T$109
BuddyDank finished 2nd for $105 cash + T$109
Emptyman finished 3rd for $70 cash + T$109
Cbags and Taddy took 4th-5th respectively
This places numero uno nit into 4th on the leaderboard and nit two slides into 22nd place well within striking distance of the 18-player TOC.
for the 3rd week in a row i came up with no points and slipped all the way down to 15th on the leaderboard. this week i jammed JJ all-in pf into nit two who woke up with QQ in the Big Blind.
gg me
I also played the 20k Guarantee which had a $2500 overlay but, never really got much going. i got bounced right before the 2nd break jamming AQo into JJ and didn't get lucky.
we had 44 players suit up again for this week's edition of the Bodonkey. some day people will wake up and realize we're playing for a 12k WSOP Main Event seat (18-1 odds) along with some other cool prizes as well as T$600 added every week. A couple of deep finishes in the Bodonkey will put you right in the thick of things.
It's not too late to weenie your way in.
A Bodog Poker Pro is gonna sit in on one of our Bodonkey tournaments with a $100 bounty this month. Get ur votes in. (Vote for Evy!)

smokkee is back in bizness
I finally got all my money consolidated from the ol' "killinkegz" account to my recently resurrected "smokkee" account on Full Tilt. It only took a week and a half and several dozen emails to support. They really need an 800 customer service phone number to call. I made a phat ass withdrawal to epassporte. Now I'm pulling out money via my Visa/ATM debit card and checking account xfers. I only have a $1200 per day withdrawal limit so, it's gonna take some time. But, at least i'm closer to seeing the moneh.
Played the MATH last night and finished in 15th i believe outta 70+ players. not sure if i got any BBT3 pts for that or not.
Bayne was to my right and layed some stoopid beats on me. He called down bets on a runner flush draw and called my all-in with TP-K kicker after i flopped 2p. Of course he catches the river miracle and I had to ride a short stack for a while chipping up whenever i got the chance. I got a courtesy dubble up on wawfuls after he called my shove with 33. My KK held. Made a big laydown to Drizz after raising pf with AKo. He 3-bet me and i felt like he had a monster so i let it go. He says he had AA but, didn't show. I finally had to shove with J-9o from the SB after it was folded to me. Drizz saw right thru it and called with A-To from the BB.
Congrats to PokahDave for taking down last night's MATH tournament and winning his seat into the TOC. He and Zack when at it HU for quite a while trading chips back and forth. Very good HU match IMO. I've been hoping to see less +1'ers in the TOC only because they'd make it a more difficult field. I'd like to see more fonkeys in there and less ballahs.
Anyway, i'm not playing the no skillz event. Cya in the Bodonkey tonight!

Rizen is leaving updates on his blog from the Foxwoods Poker Classic. You can get live updates from WPT.COM here.
Sully Erna from Godsmack got smacked down on the river by a 1 outer.
UPDATE: "Rizen" is out. Eric got knocked out midway thru Day 2. Incredibly, last year's winner Raj Patel is the chip leader of the Foxwoods Poker Classic after the 3rd break on Day 2. There's still a long way to go.

Overcoming Failure
Jelena Jankovic - the third ranked tennis player in the world who has overcome many obstacles and persevered through her young career.
Which Bodog Pro would you like to bust??
Bodog will be placing another bounty on a Bodog Pro in one of the upcoming Bodonkey tournaments. I've put up a new poll to get opinions on who you'd like to send to the rail.
Honestly, i'd like to see Evy Ng in one of our Bodonkey tournaments. Having Josh again would be a close 2nd.
There's still plenty of time to get into the top 18 in the Bodog Blogger Series with 9 tournaments to go. You don't have to wade thru 100 players 4x a week to win a seat into Bodog's TOC on June 10th.
Grand Prize: $12,000 WSOP* Prize Package with Team Bodog

Deep finish in Bodog's 20k sitting across from Bellande
Before i get into the 20k, we had 44 players suit up for this week's Bodonkey with the top 5 spots getting paid and the 5 money bubblers getting T$11. I didn't make it past the 1st break after overplaying AQ vs Riggstad's AK on a K-Q-x flop. So, for the 2nd week in a row i pick up no points in the Bodog Blogger Series.
Here are the final payouts this week. Vinnay took down the win, finishing 1st for $176 cash + T$109. Donkette (diff donkette) took 2nd for $105 cash + T$109. NewinNov finished 3rd for $70 cash and T$109. Drizz and RecessRampage took 4th and 5th respectively.
We're over the hump in the Bodog Blogger Series with 9 tournaments in the books and 9 left. Vinnay picked up a big chunk of points this week which puts him in striking distance of the top 18 on the leaderboard. It's early and there's still a long way to go in the series. This was only Vinnay's 2nd time picking up points since the series started and put himself in a position to have a shot at the top 18 spots.
I decided to sit in on Bodog's 20k Guarantee DS tournament which starts at 8:30pm ET ($69+6 buy-in). The field was a manageable 249 players with 27 spots getting paid and almost a $3k overlay.
I was able to triple up my starting stack with AA and QQ before the 1st break (i luv bodog) and kept my stack well above the average until we got down to the final 3 tables.
While i was checking other table chip leaders, i ran across Jean Robert Bellande who recently signed a deal with Bodog. By the time we got down to four tables, he was the tournament chip leader and i got moved to his table.
table chatter:
jackieboy: is this really him?
[jazzyfresh45]: yeah it is smokkee
JeanRobert: lol it is Smokkee himself
[jazzyfresh45]: lol
I hated my seat here and later got moved to another table with Bellande on my right. But, not before i jammed into his EP raise with everyone's favorite starting hand. I thought about smooth calling and check/raising the flop but, figured a push from the blinds would look weaker.
Unfortunately, my fishee didn't bite ("good laydown"). Surprisingly, Bellande would fold often to all-in pushes (even to shortys) after he raised pf. I guess he finally got tired of it. He eventually jammed over the top of a reraise in a blind vs. blind battle with A8o and ran into JJ finishing 20th.
After we got thru the bubble, i was all-in at least 4-5x and took down the blinds/antes everytime until one of the big stacks finally called my ATo push with AJo and neither of us improved.
There were a couple of times before that hand I would've loved a call to try and dubble but, it wasn't meant to be and i went home in 18th for a small $240 cash.
I finally got an email from Full Tilt Support that my "smokkee" account has been reactivated. I was able to login but, my funds haven't been transferred yet. I sent support yet another email (ugh). Hopefully, that gets taken care of soon.
at least i got my MLB.TV
opening day of MLB is almost as good as NFL's opening day. this time of year roolz. three of 4 major pro sports are in effect with 2 of them gearing up for the post-season and the NCAA Final Four is coming up this weekend.
while i was enjoying several games on MLB.TV, i was on a major cash game heatah on my favorite site that doesn't lock your account and ignore your emails for 5 days. how FawkTilt gets away with this, i'll never know. they "advertise" 24/7 support. which means you can shoot them an email 24/7 and it sits in a black hole until they feel like getting around to it. if you have any reasonable amt of money on FawkTilt, i would seriously consider getting it off-line and re-depositing if the need comes up.
call Bodog right now and you get a real live person @ 1-866-909-2237. Bodog doesn't hide behind email accounts. they don't shut down your account without warning, freezing up your money ignoring your emails and will talk to you live.
there's still a shit-load of time to get into our Bodog Series TOC and win a 12k WSOP package.
GL in the Bodonkey
