We’re both pretty excited about the trip. Looking over the tournament schedules, the Caesar’s noon $340 MegaStack NLHE on Saturday looks like the best option. The only problem I have with that tournament is it’s a 2-day event. Mondo went out 39th (582 players) last Saturday after 14hrs of play cashing $508 (nice job btw). 1st place paid $49k.
Can a $300 tournament be too deep?
I’m pretty sure I don’t wanna spend half my trip chained to a chair, if I’m lucky. That and I’d like to remain married. So, I think I’m gonna pass on it.
I was gonna try to satellite into Venetian’s $540 Deep Stack on Saturday but, it appears to be HORSE this weekend. So, that’s not happening. Binion’s is running a $250 NLHE tournament this Saturday but, it’s 6-max, which is definitely not my game.
I guess I’m gonna end up settling on one of Venetian’s nightly tournaments (8pm start time) and cash games this trip. I have a much better chance of coming home with the loot playing cash games anyway. According to Venetian’s tournament schedule, Friday’s 8pm tournament is a KO ($200 buy-in inc $10 KO).
Saturday’s itinerary is wide open. Tina will be at the spa so, that’ll be a good time for me to hit the cash tables. Sunday we’re gonna be at CK’s pool house for a BBQ (thanks for the invite CK!). Monday we fly back.
Bodog has shipped us a bunch of swag which should be waiting at our hotel when we check-in Friday. Please hit me up early if you’re out there so I don’t have to haul any of it back. I’m planning to bring whatever I have left to the BBQ.

Dude, have a GREAT trip (wish I were there *this* weekend for the swag...bummer).
Just wanted to let you know that when I contacted the Venetian, they told me that during the Deep Stack series, their 8pm tourney every day was actually going to be their regular noon tourney, moved to 8pm. So, I don't think they're running the KO bounty tourney, but they should be running something like a $180 5k starting stack tourney.
