Apparently, some people think I have no shot at winning one of the 12k WSOP Main Event packages. They believe I have no NLHE MTT skills and that's fine. It doesn't really bother me. I consider myself more of a cash game player these days anyway.
Negativity and doubters just fuel my desire to win. I feel like I still have alot to prove. But what and to who? I don't know. I think it's mostly just to myself. It's human nature. No matter what you've done or achieved, you strive for more.
All I do every day is try to make good decisions at the table. I try to get my money in ahead and most of the time I do. Sometimes I get distracted, make misreads or emotions will affect my play. But, I try to minimize that. It's a constant challenge.
I've had my share of negativity and doubt to overcome, some of it my own. So much of your poker success can be attributed to your state of mind and how you deal with losses.
My strategy for both TOC's is to play my "A" game. Don't let emotions or people get in my way and try to overcome any adversity I encounter along the way.
I'm in it to win it. I didn't bust my ass over four months for this opportunity to pass me by.
I'm going down swinging and if the cards don't fall in my favor so be it. At least I know in my heart I gave it everything I could.
Either way, i'll be in Vegas next weekend with my beautiful wife celebrating the win and registering for the WSOP Main Event or toasting whoever came out on top, cheering them from the rail and return to my everyday grinding.
I really have nothing to lose and that's my attitude going in.
It's a freeroll.

1) I was pissed off by the chat "finally caught you" when you won a flip from the underdog side. Don't think Bodog rigged anything.
2) I won turbo fiddy last night when I called jam with ATs against a 77 shove. I am sure other dude was as annoyed Sunday as I was Tuesday. Of course differences were mine was SOOOOOTed, it was HU and even if I lost I still had him covered.
3) Don't know the structure for Bodog TOC but if it is slow enough the cash dudes have as goosd a chance as anyone. But during Bodog series NewinNov eliminated me about 5 times with flips where he had 55 or lower. Someone running that well will not lose.
4) Look forward to seeing you (and your lovely wife) in Vegas.
