Calling all Laker / Kobe Haters

The Spurs got knocked the fugg out in 5 games. Kobe Bryant and the mightee Lakers head to the NBA Finals with Kobe leading the charge.

The NBA Finals start Thursday, June 5th and I really don't care who we meet in the Finals. Neither Eastern Conf team has a prayer against Kobe and the Lakers.
The biggest problem for the Lakers will be where do we hang the 2007-2008 NBA Championship banner?
Kobe at only 29 years old is at the top of his game finally taking down the 2008 NBA MVP and another NBA Championship.
YAWN
Look for a repeat and possibly another 3-peat with the young talent the Lakers have put together this season.
Let the hate commence.
...and don't forget to stop by Pauly's site. 2008 WSOP live blogging starts today.

Pardon my lack of hate here, as I have to concur that the Lakers led by Kobe 'the basketball deity' Bryant are the class of the NBA, and should be favorites to take the Championship. I wouldn't say the Eastern Conference opponent doesn't have a prayer, as even basketball variance has its share of two-outers, but I do indeed believe the Lakers have to be considered the odds on favorites. (And it was ludicrous that this was Kobe's first MVP award! Should've been his 3rd or 4th.)

(Oh, and while I'm at it... Kobe was setup in Colorado!)

That's pretty awesome what's coming on Tuesday. Ship it now, sucka. ;-)

Dude, you're a better spokesman for Bodog than any of their pros...they should be buying you into the ME.

Come on, you know you want the Celtics...but this time with the better end for the Lakers...now don't you...I for one would love to see this retro-classic...and just to stir it up, my prediction is: Celtics in 6...you can hate me now ;-)

I worry a little about not having home court advantage in the finals, although 3 home games in a row for the Lakers should count for something.

I see the Celtics like a good Western Conference team from the early 90s, say the Lakers old nemesis the Sacramento Kings. But Kobe's Lakers beat them in the Western Conference finals in Game 7 @ Sacramento, so there's a lot of hope.

I get the sense we're in Tiger Woods territory, where Kobe is not only playing to win, but also he's playing for a place in history.
