Standard mOOkie finish, closing the books on October
i busted outta the mOOk in standard fashion, running a good pocket pair into a monster. but, i have to give the guy credit on how he played it. he limped from EP with AA. another player raises 3x from the cutoff. i look down at JJ and push. there was about T$400 in the pot and i had a little less than T$2k in chips. i was willing to race and try to dubble. but, i ran into a brick wall.
i hopped into the "spook" that went off just before midnight ET and came out raising a lotta hands. i picked up 33 in the BB after a bunch of limpers and decided it was a good time for a squeeze and pushed. got called by someone with JackAce and that was that.
i had a good time tho. i don't go into Bloggaments expecting much these days.
Cash games are treating me well at least. so, i still spend the majority of my time there. who woulda thought i'd become a cash game grinder. i'm gonna make a real effort to play more tournaments in November tho.

cash games goin' well...
the weekend's at Bodog can be donktastic with regularity. you'll get your AA/KK/QQ cracked on occasion. but, you will also get full value on your monsters. even 2nd/3rd nutz are worth playin' aggro. cuz, a lotta low-limit NL donks can't fold top pair.
(full ring 9-handed)
--- DEALING POCKETS
smokkee is dealt [Qh,Kd]
smokkee: calls $1.00 (i limp from EP and hope for a cheap flop)

--- DEALING FLOP [7c,Qd,Ks] (bingo!)
smokkee: checks (checkin' my monster)
dada13: checks
SirMcPants: bets $9.25 (bets his TP. i see alotta players add .25/.50/.75 to their bets. it usually means they're weak. adding the extra .xx makes their bets appear bigger.)

smokkee: goes all in $130.25 (Mcdonkey probably limp/called pf with KJ or some sOOted K-X, i'm AWWW IIINNN !)

$69.50 is not called, return back to smokkee:

call me deadmoney in BBTwo
i continue to donate to the weekly minefields known as our beloved blonkaments. somehow, another solid player finished atop the heap. this clown completely dominated riverchasers from start to finish and if it sounds like i'm the fuckin' president of his railbird fan club, so be it.
i've learned alot from Sucko playing against him live / online over the last coupla years. also, through discussions and his blog / poker forum posts. he's always been willing to share his experience and knowledge of the game to help me with mine.
it's good to see a weekly donkathon like the riverchasers, dominated by one of the best chip slingin' blonkeys out there. i'd much rather see a player like Sucko take down a weekly blonkament that really has something at stake than some donktastic lucksac who slipped on a banana peel pushmonkeying his way into a 1st place finish and a seat into the TOC.
with that being said, congrats to Lucko and GL to the rest of us for even having a slim glimmer of hope at winning a seat to the Aussie Millions now. but hey, this is poker and anything can happen.
oh ya, one other thing....fuck boston!

pokah is good when pokah goes good
still donkin' at low levels cuz i'm a bankroll nit. i can't risk going broke. chart is missing a few buy-in's when i was on Tina's laptop. overall, an ok month. i played a few Bodog MTT's without success. a nice tournament cash would really help the cause.
oh ya, I ran KK into AA all-in pf in the mOOk. that's always a good time.

SoCal fires
last night when we were at at the jacuzzi, we noticed a distant glow coming over the top of a hill south of San Clemente. later that night, we saw flames at the top of that hill just before we went to bed. a fire had broken out just north of Camp Pendleton which is about 20 minutes south of us. this morning i couldn't see any flames on that hill. but, the sky is filled with dark smoke. so, hopefully they have it under control.
here's a link to a map of all the fires in San Diego/Orange County
last night, Tina took pics of everything in our apt for insurance purposes and we made a short list of everything to take if we have to evacuate. mostly pictures, legal documents, jewelry, some clothes and stuff for the wedding. there are thousands of people who've been evacuated to Qualcomm stadium's parking lot and the Chargers have been flown to Phoenix to practice for this Sunday's home game. yesterday, i heard on ESPN that LT and several other players had to evaculate their homes recently due to the fires. hopefully, we won't have to do the same.

21 players spew chips in this week's Bodonkey
I get HU for the Bodonkey title. Wonka and I start off with over 30k in chips. after a few hands , i flop TP on a J-high flop and he pushes into me with middle pair. then he jams the rest of his chips preflop into the stone cold nutz.
obv rigged
i took down this week's Bodonkey which started with 21 players. the field has proven to be very difficult (i.e. most players know where the fold button is and reraise when they got you beat, unless they're bluffing - lol). we only lost one player just before the 1st break when he ran his set into a higher set. Buddy made this comment shortly before that hand.
BuddyDank: is this really a blogger tournament?? Cause no one is out yet and that is odd.
it took a little over 3hrs to finish a 21 player blogger tournament. Bodog's tournament structure gives you a chance to play "real" poker. it wasn't until after hour 2 when we were short-handed on both tables that it became pushmonkey time for some players.
Shamanlix finished 9th and was our bubble boy.
Patch42, Bdidde and Bayne finished 6-8 for T$11
4-5 place finishers were BuddyDank and BJJIII for T$109+T$11
Don took 3rd for $42+T$109
Wonka finished 2nd for $63+T$109 and i cashed $105+T$109 for 1st
i'd really like to see us get 28 players in next week's tournament so more spots would pay out. the Top 5 finishers would get cash +T$109 and 6-10 would get T$11. help me get the word out. steal a copy of our pimp ass banner courtesy of mOOk and post it before next week's tournament. big thanks to Buddy for kickin' it live on BuddyDank radio tonight during our tournament.![]()

donkerific bloggers need luv too
i decided to donk it up in the mOOk last night in preparation for BBTwo. i haven't been playing many Blogger tournaments on Full Tilt for the last coupla months and needed to refamiliarize myself with some of the regulars and get familiar with the playing style of some of the newcomers. i made it to the final two tables and pushed in with less than an avg stack from the cutoff after it was folded to me. got called in a coin flip situation and lost. meh
congrats to BuddyDoosh for takin it down
there's been alot o' bitchin' about the play in lower buy-in blogger tournaments and i've been guilty of it in the past. but, long ago i came to the realization that these are low buy-in tourneys with players donkin' it up with very little at stake. so, the calls and aggro plays to be seen can be donktacular with high regularity.
if you want to see less of this, start a weekly blogger tournament with a $50 straight buy-in. the field will be smaller no doubt. but, you'll see less donktastic plays. there'll be more money at stake and no cheap way to get in. even tho Don's game is a $75 buy-in, you can get in for as little as $8.70 (even less) laddering up through a tier 2 token sng. but, IMO there's less donkery in the Big Game because of the prize money at stake and I expect this week's play to be even tighter due to the TOC promo that Al and the guys have put together courtesy of Full Tilt.
btw, Great job putting that together fellas!
i'm already promoting a weekly Blogger tournament over at ![]()
with T$600 added to the prize pool. so, I'm not interested in firing up another Blogger tournament at the moment. But, maybe one of the bitchers and moaners will. just a suggestion.

luv'n me sum bodonkeys
jamming TT into QQ is almost never good
jumped in the mOOK, ran TT into QQ and that was that .
2nd time in my last 2 mOOkie tries i ran a pocket pair into a higher pocket pair pf and both times, they were my best starting hands i saw in that donkfest. i won a $75 token in the Token Frenzy. so, that was all good.
cracked open Bodog for some bodonkey cash games before i knocked out. made a few $$$. my progress so far this month.
graph doesn't include over three buy-in's i won while i was playin' on Tina's laptop. i don't have handgrabber installed there.

Bigger and better payouts = bigger and better turnout
This week's Bodonkey prize pool was juiced with a T$600 overlay courtesy of our friends at Bodog. We saw a record crowd of 21 players for this week's edition of bondonkery. there was a bit of a snafu with the tournament structure (60 min levels/break every 10 mins). But, the Bodog support team was able to reschedule a new tournament shortly after i contacted them via their main 800 support number.
Eight places paid out and unfortunately, the photoshop master was our bubble boy. btw, mOOkie will be sitting in on BuddyDank radio during this week's mOOk which is always a good time.
Finishing in 8th for T$11 was DangerMouse
Taking 7th for T$11 was our radio host BuddyDank
Busting in 6th for T$11 and the winner of 2 previous BoDonkey titles, Lightning36.
NewinNov took 5th for T$109+T$11.
Irongirl also took down a bunch o' T$'s for her 4th place finish, T$109+T$11.
Finishing 3rd for a $42 cash payout + T$109 was uniballer, MiamiDon
JD Schellnutt and I went HU for the title. I had a slight chip lead. then took down a big pot when i pushed all in with bottom pair and an OESD against JD's middle pair. I hit on the turn and this gave me T$45k in chips to his T$16K. then i promptly dubbled him when i called his all in after i raised pf with 89o vs AQo and we got back to almost even. i lost a coupla pots to bluffs then, gave him my entire stack when i pushed into his pf raise with A6o. he called with AA and it was all over baby.
i took down $63 cash + T$109 for 2nd and JD cashed $105 + T$109 for this week's Bodonkey title. Congrats to JD, well done!
make sure you register for next week's Bodonkey. the payouts will be the same unless we get more players. if at least 45 players register next week, the top 5 get cash +T$109 and the next 5 to finish short of the money get their buy-in back, T$11. Ten spots would be paid.
thanks to all who registered and played this week. sorry for the structure mishap in the 1st Bodonkey. if you played in tonight's 1st tournament and didn't receive T$11 credit, please let me know.

Bigger and Better!
Bodog is adding T$600 to the Bodonkey prize pool starting this week. If you are 1 of the 5 money bubblers, you’ll have your $11 buyin refunded, and if you finish in the top 5 you will win an entry (T$109) for Bodog’s Sunday $100K Guaranteed tournament. The top 3 spots pay cash +T$109.

sit and start week 5
the people at Fantasy Freakin' Football give some good suggestions for NFL's week 5 in their weekly podcast. they gave me props for the best finish of their listeners in last week's Big Daddy's Fantasy Football contest. my team finished 26th out of 236. the buy-in is $25 and Big Daddy guarantees $2500 for 1st. unfortunately, i didn't see a payout last week. but, the guys at FFF finished 2nd for $500. check out my fantasy football links for other good sit n' start resources.
..and don't forget to get in the BFFB. Tina is still pwning this shit.

the players at this level are so bad, i was able to bank over $2k there last month. i took my share of sick beats along the way. but, it was worth it.

record turnout for this week's Bodonkey
fifteen (15) fonkeys suited up for this week's tournament. over half the field got paid. but, i wasn't one of 'em. i got the gigli and was the 1st man down. i took a big hit when i ran AhTh into Lightning's AQo on an AQT flop. a few hands later i push all-in pf short-stacked from the SB with AKo into IG who's sitting in the BB with K4o. she rivers a 4 and i'm done. gg me
Lighting took down his 2nd Bodonkey title cashing $75+T$50 for 1st. Wonka finished 2nd for a $45+T$25 payout and IG took 3rd for $30.
Several solid players suited up, making this week's tourney a difficult field to get thru.
(i apologize if i missed linking any blogger tourney regulars. some of the Bodonkey screen names are unfamiliar to me. drop me a comment if you're a regular in the Bodonkey and have a blog. i'll make sure to link you next time.)

situation FUBAR
where do i even start. yesterday's Charger game was a disaster. our offense only scored one TD after four tries in the red zone in the 1st half and go into half-time with a 10 point lead. then come out flat in the 2nd half. unable to score while turning the ball over three times. our defense gives up another bunch o' points and we're unable to score on 1st and goal from the 5 yard line on our last drive because our coaching staff thought it would be a good idea to throw the ball on 4 straight downs instead of handing it off to last year's league MVP.
sigh
it looks to be a loooooooong season for Charger fans. our GM hosed us up so good, we're gonna be dealing with this mess for at least 2-3 years. what a letdown from last year.
well at least my Fantasy team kicked some ass yesterday. umm not really.
QB B. Roethlisberger PIT 20.4 (avg score compared to prev week's numbers)
WR S. Holmes PIT 24.7 (took up the slack for H. Ward)
WR R. Williams DET 5.3 (underachieved)
WR T. Owens DAL 3.3 (ditto)
RB W. Parker PIT 6.6 (unable to run the ball against AZ)
RB D. Foster CAR 6.1 (unable to run against TB)
TE B. Franks GBP 3.0 (eh)
KI N. Kaeding SDC 12.5 (benefited from SD's inability to score TD's)
DE D. SDC 3.0 (can't stop anyone)
i finished 5th in my blogger battle contest. Tina whomped ass again. she offered to give me some lessons in Fantasy Football roster selection.
ugh
well, at least i'm doing well enough in NLHE full ring games, finishing out September +$2100 after 11k hands.
