the Bolts play the sorry sac Chiefs this Sunday at Qualcomm. if the Chargers don't win, expect to hear a lotta loud booing. it won't be directed at the players. the hate will be directed at Norv and his coaching staff for taking an elite NFL team with a 14-2 record last yr and turning them into a 1-3 loser. Tina and I will be at Sunday's game cheering for a victory.

i think the show went well. it started off a bit slow. but, we gained steam toward the end. Love_elf jumped in when she got home from school and was a big hit. the guys asked her some tough questions and i think she did fine.

question: "so, how did you come up with your Fantasy Sports roster?"
Elf: "i pick players with the best team colors."

Leftylu took it down for back2back mOOk's. this has only happened a few times before. nice job. i also happened to pick Lefty to take it down. this got me 24 buddydank points. apparently, i can use them for free drinks at the next live WPBT in Dec.

eleven fish, one Bodonkey title

11 players suited up for last night's Bodonkey. Bayne and Numbono took a shot at this week's title. i was able to put the hurt on Bayne early when he ran JJ into my KK and he was first to hit the rail. i also cracked NewinNov's KK with 99 when another 9 hit the flop. about even in chips, i got HU with BadBeatt for the title. after several hands, i get all-in on a straight / flush draw with one over. but, i don't get lucky this time and i finish in 2nd for $33+T$25 bonus. Badbeatt picked up $55+T$50 bonus for 1st and is this week's King of Bodonkey. Bdidde finished 3rd for $22.

Tina is killin' the BFFB. it's only week 3. but, still. she luvs Fantasy Football. yesterday, she's clicking refresh on yesterday's blogger battle contest to follow her team throughout the day. it would go something like this:

Tina: "where are my points??? Rivers just completed a pass!"
Me: "chill out. it takes a few minutes before your points show up in the contest."

this musta happened at least 4-5 times and it happens every freakin Sunday. she's cracked out on Fantasy Football.

Steve Smith (WR) was lighting it up in the first coupla games. but yesterday, he was held to one (1) catch for 10 yds against the Falcons sorry ass D. WTF?!?!

my kicker Elam had been averaging 10pts a game in the 1st two weeks...yesterday? he was good for 2 points....wheeeeeeeeeeeee

i did play some cash games yesterday as well. for some reason, i always get off to a bad start on the weekends. then, have to put in a bunch o' hands to recover. i dropped two buy-ins in about 20 min yesterday afternoon. when my KK was cracked by 89o and my QQ went down to K2s. both players cold called a 6x pf raise OOP. but, i got it all back and more. the play is so bad in the late evenings on weekends, you have to be super-unlucky not to win. i finished the day +3 buy-ins.

12 suit up for this week's Bodonkey

two new guys to the weekly Bodonkey end up getting HU for the coveted title. Ingoal proved to be the biggest lucksac and King of Bodonkey. he got paid $60 + T$50 bonus for 1st. Tripjax got $36 + T$25 bonus for 2nd. i got the 3rd place boobie prize of $24 no bonus. wheeeeeee

Big thanks to all who played this week. it's good to see some of the peeps i played against regularly at FTP and Stars come over to my house for some donkerific goodness.

while playing the Bodonkey, i was multitabling the 30k (8:30pm EST start/$60 buy-in). the field started short about 80 players with a $4700 overlay. 1st place paid $7500, 2nd place $4620 and 3rd paid $3150. i got off to a good start with over T$7000 after the 1st break. then went mostly card dead bleeding off quite a few chips to blinds and whiffed flops. after the 2nd break i pushed over the top of a few limped pots preflop to take 'em down. my last hand, it's folded to me on the button and i push T$5100 with QJo. some guy calls off over half his stack with 8c9c, flops a 9 and i'm out in 90th place of 459 players. 45 spots paid. i like 89 as much as the next guy. but, i don't think i'm calling off over half my stack with it.

anyway, been playing mostly cash games. i only get in around 5-6 tourneys a week. i'm usually playing the guaranteed tourneys when there's a decent overlay.

stinkin' it up

somehow i managed to breakeven in all my FSL contests on Sunday even tho my BFFB team sucked balls. what happened to Cincy's D? I committed a bunch of my cap to LT and that didn't work out too good. i finished 26th outta 27. wheeeeeee

Philip Rivers and the SD defense looked awful in Sunday night's game. the Pats were scoring at will. it was painful to watch. i honestly thought LT was gonna be unstoppable. i know he's been looking forward to that game since last year's playoff loss. the Pats defense is better than i thought.

i lost my bet on the Bengals. but, got it back on the Vikings. i got 3.5 pts on Bodog. so the Vikes barely covered. but, i expected them to win the game outright. there are a lotta 2-0 teams i didn't expect to see start 2-0.

re: poker. i've been playing mostly cash games on Bodog. the play is so bad on the weekends. i mean just terrible. some guy doubled on me when he called a 4x raise from the BB with 3-8off. i had AA and went to the felt with it. he flopped 2p. there was no way i could put him on that. another guy commented in the chat:

observer: "did that guy really just call 4x with 38o?"
me: "nothin' suprises me on the weekends"

NFL opening day weekend

some crazy games this weekend. KC gets pounded by the Texans. The Eagles could not take down that powerhouse known as the Packers (wtf?!?!). Browns get pounded in their own back yard (the dawg pound) by their hated rivals. San Diego's offense (LT and Gates) wakes up in the 2nd half to beat last year's fluke (Da Bears) and the Cowboys finish off the Giants in a shootout Sunday night. both defenses took the night off. oh ya, Miami and Oakland still suck balls.

i won my 10 player contest in the 1st week of the BFFB cashing $45. so, i'm freerollin' the next 4 wks.

Tina and I were at Qualcomm Stadium for the Chargers/Bears game. Opening day is always a blast especially when your team comes away with a win.

still haven't decided who i'm taking tonight. but, i'm leaning toward both home teams.

the first batch of NFL contests were put up on FantasySportsLive today. i'm very excited about the upcoming season and can't wait to see the Chargers pound the livin' hell outta Da Bears on Sunday. I took LT and Gates in all my contests. but, i couldn't pass on Big Ben airing it out against the sorry sac Browns.

don't forget about the 1st annual BFFB. It starts this Sunday.

we had a small turnout for the Bodog Blogger tournament. mOOk knocked me out after i flopped TP with a nut flush draw against his set of 4's. i even turned a straight draw. but, none of my outs hit and he rivered a boat. he ended up taking it down. good to know my chips went for a good cause.
