i can't get any closer than this
tournament starts with 79 players including three pros. top 6 finishers get into the WSOP Main Event.
i don't get much to work with most of the way but, somehow find myself at the final table. i go out on the bubble in tonight's Full Tilt WSOP 1k Qualifier.
with 7 players left, i'm the shortest stack after donking sum chips off with AQo against a BIG stack in a previous hand. everyone folds to me one off the button, i push with AQo and run into a MONSTER in the BB.....
he just happened to be the next shortest stack. wut luck huh? the poker gods gift wrap it for him. i take home $3500 for my troubles. lessons learned? don't mess around with AQo at the final table with biggies in the blinds. But, that last hand? No way i play it any different.

thanks so much to everyone who railed. i really appreciated the support. extremely disappointed with the results tho. i'm kinda shell shocked right now.

That was an amazing run, all the more so because you were running 4 tourneys on Tilt and (at least) the Hoy on Stars. Keeping up with all that plus the girlie chat stuff, AND still making some serious scratch at the same time is all good. You've proven you can get to the prize. You played very well...you just ran into one of just a few hands that could beat you. Next time should be different. I want to be able to watch your punk ass on the WSOP TV coverage and tell people that you're just a punk that I play online with a couple of times a week! :-) Damn fine run tonight, brotha.
Great run and so close. I was wondering what you raised with preflop UTG and then folded to a all-in re-raise. (AQ hand - I was guessing AK).
You will get there next week. (after all, you have $3,500 to spend on satellites now.) ;)
Wes, correction....he won $3700 while with us, don't forget the $200 for taking down the Hoy while he did all this.
And you'll still get your WSOP seat one of these days soon.

thx everyone for all the support. $3500 is'nt a bad consolation prize but, i still feel like i've been kicked in the stomach. if somehow i don't make it, my final table play there will haunt me until next year.
Hey man, come in 6th a few more times in this thing, and you can buy your own WSOP ME seat with your "consolation prizes".
